Welcome to the new United Bank.

We are pleased to announce that United Bank and Rockville Bank have successfully completed a historic merger of equals on April 30, 2014. The merger combines two strong, independent-minded community banks, both of whose legacies date back well over 100 years, to create the best community bank in New England. Our name is United Bank and we are a first-class banking alternative that can provide the products and services delivered by the big banks with the superior customer service you can expect from a community bank.

Merging United Bank and Rockville Bank allows us the opportunity to deliver high tech banking solutions through a high touch community bank approach. This gives our talented, reputable bankers the opportunity to give you their unmatched financial advice with the personal service you deserve. Plus, it provides you with more than 50 convenient locations throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut, all serviced by the friendly staff you have come to know and trust. You will also see our generous community support and employee volunteerism growing stronger and more robust with the new United Bank.

Later this year, we will work diligently to ensure a seamless conversion of our data processing systems. At that time, Rockville Bank’s name will change to United Bank on all signs, bank statements and other places where you commonly see the Rockville Bank name. Until then, Rockville Bank will be a division of United Bank and you should continue to do your banking as you normally would as a United or Rockville customer. As always, your deposits will continue to be insured by the FDIC, just as they were before.

United we are stronger, and we are confident everything you liked about each bank you will love about the new United Bank. In the meantime, we look forward to serving all your banking needs with the first-class customer experience you expect, today, and for many years to come.
